UJA Federation Centre for Enhancement of Jewish Education is proud to administer Toronto’s community scholarships to assist students in their Israel discoveries.
There are two different categories of scholarships available:
1) Long term, post-high school study. These scholarships are based on financial need, and are ONLY AVAILABLE FOR PROGRAMS THAT ARE NOT MASA APPROVED. MASA is a joint venture of the Government of Israel, the Jewish Agency for Israel (UJA Federation’s overseas partner) and Jewish Federations across North America, including Toronto. Individuals must first determine if their intended program is MASA approved. For MASA information, go to their website http://www.masaisrael.org.il/masa/english/
If the intended program is NOT MASA approved, then the applicant is urged to visit our scholarships web site to determine which fund is suitable for the intended program, and to download applications. The next round of long-term scholarships application will commence late February. 2) Short-term Israel experiences. These scholarships are based on financial need, and are intended for the youth movement-styled Israel summer programs, as well as other short-tem Israel education opportunities.
